Kidney Territory Account Manager (KTAM)
General Summary
- Establish and maintain relationships with Health Care Professionals (HCPs), develop a strategic business plan, and communicate disease and product knowledge to HCPs and centers of care. Lead engagement with nephrologists and serve as an account manager for specialty kidney clinics.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Build professional relationships with nephrologists and related HCPs; manage specialty kidney clinic accounts.
- Develop expertise in disease/product attributes and patient unmet needs to educate HCPs on appropriate product use.
- Understand assigned physicians, territory/market dynamics, stakeholder mapping, key decision-maker relationships, patient protocols, referral networks, and drivers/barriers.
- Achieve territory-level performance and contribute to area/national goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally; attend meetings; take on projects as requested.
- Exercise sound judgment and adhere to regulatory/compliance guidelines and company policies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to understand/communicate complex clinical disease/product.
- Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication; team and cross-functional skills.
- Continuous learning mindset; strong clinical selling/business/customer relationship competencies.
- IT proficiency, including Veeva CRM; sales success history.
Education/Experience/Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree.
- Typically 5 years pharmaceutical field sales; experience in kidney/renal disease, rare disease, or similar specialty markets. Product launch experience highly desired.
- Must live/work within territory; valid driverβs license.
- Travel up to 80% (10β30% overnight) and work after hours as needed.
Compensation (as stated)
- Pay range: $133,600β$200,400; eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards.
