General Summary:
- Kidney Territory Account Manager (KTAM) responsible for establishing/maintaining relationships with HCPs, developing a strategic business plan, and communicating disease/product knowledge to HCPs and centers of care to improve patient lives. Reports to a Regional Field Leader; leads engagement with nephrologists and serves as account manager for specialty kidney clinics.
Responsibilities:
- Build meaningful relationships with nephrologists and related HCPs; manage specialty kidney clinic accounts.
- Maintain expertise on disease and product clinical attributes; educate appropriate patients on product use.
- Understand assigned physicians, territory/market dynamics, stakeholder mapping, decision-makers, patient protocols, referrals, access, and barriers.
- Drive territory performance; contribute to area/national team goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally; attend meetings; take on projects as requested.
- Exercise sound judgment; comply with regulatory/compliance guidelines and company policies.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to communicate complex clinical disease/product.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
- Initiative/work ethic; customer orientation; passion for patient care.
- Cross-functional teamwork and continuous learning.
- Clinical acumen, selling/business acumen, customer relationships; expertise in disease centers of care and payer landscape.
- Documented sales success; ethical business integrity.
- IT capability (including Veeva CRM); experience in highly matrixed environments.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelorβs degree.
- Typically 5+ years field sales in pharma and experience in kidney/renal disease, rare disease, or similar specialty markets. Product launch experience highly desired.
Required/Preferred Requirements:
- Live/work within territory (may require proximity to major airport).
- Valid driverβs license; travel up to 80% (car/air); work after hours as needed; 10β30% overnight travel.
- Complete trainings; background screens; drug testing and vaccinations (as required).
Pay/Benefits (as stated):
- $133,600β$200,400; eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards; may be eligible for overtime.
