Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish meaningful, professional relationships with nephrologists and related HCPs; serve as a territory account manager for specialty kidney clinics
- Develop and maintain expertise on disease, product clinical attributes, and patient unmet needs to educate healthcare professionals on appropriate product use
- Build deep understanding of assigned physicians, territory/market dynamics, stakeholder mapping, key decision-maker relationship management, patient protocols, referral network navigation, access, and drivers/barriers
- Own territory-level performance and contribute to area/national team performance
- Demonstrate passion for improving patient care delivery; strong customer orientation and insights
- Ensure appropriate, targeted resource allocation to meet customer needs with a focus on compliance
- Stay current on nephrology environment including disease, key accounts, reimbursement, and barriers to optimal care
- Manage tactical business plan (promotional activities), budget, and travel expenses
- Work collaboratively across functional areas to achieve goals and address challenges
- Attend meetings and take on projects/duties as requested; exercise sound judgment and adhere to regulatory/compliance guidelines

Knowledge and Skills (Required/Preferred)
- Understand and communicate complex clinical disease/product
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

- Continuous learning; interest in new technologies/approaches
- Clinical acumen, selling skills, business acumen, customer relationships
- Expertise in disease, clinical knowledge, and HCP/patient resources; sales competencies; disease centers of care and payer landscape; relationship building and account management

- Documented history of sales success
- Strong IT capabilities, including Veeva CRM
- Experience working in a highly matrixed environment

Education and Experience
- Bachelorโ€™s degree
- Typically requires 5 years of field sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry; experience in kidney/renal disease, rare disease, or similar biotech/specialty markets
- Product launch experience highly desired

Additional Role Requirements
- Establish customer credentials (trainings, background screens, drug testing, vaccinations as needed)
- Must live and work within the territory (or within reasonable distance to a major airport as required)
- Valid driverโ€™s license (in good standing)
- Travel up to 80% (car/airplane) and may require working after hours; 10โ€“30% overnight travel

Pay and Incentives (as stated)
- Base pay range: $133,600 - $200,400
- Eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards
