Kidney Territory Account Manager (KTAM) โ Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with nephrologists and related HCPs; serve as a territory account manager for specialty kidney clinics.
- Develop and maintain expertise on disease, product clinical attributes, and patient unmet needs to educate HCPs on appropriate product use.
- Understand assigned physicians and territory/market dynamics (stakeholder mapping, decision-maker relationships, patient protocols, referral networks, access, and drivers/barriers).
- Drive individual performance in the territory and contribute to area/national team performance.
- Collaborate across functional areas to achieve goals and address challenges.
- Attend meetings and take on projects/duties as requested.
- Exercise sound judgment and adhere to regulatory/compliance and company policies.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to understand/communicate complex clinical disease/product.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
- Initiative, strong work ethic; passion for improving patient care.
- Ability to work cross-functionally; continuous learning and embrace new technologies.
- Core competencies: Clinical Acumen, Selling Skills, Business Acumen, Customer Relationships.
- Expertise in disease centers of care and payer landscape; relationship building/account management.
- IT capability (e.g., Veeva CRM).
Education/Experience:
- Bachelorโs degree.
- Typically 5 years field sales experience in pharma; experience in kidney/renal disease, rare disease, or similar biotech/specialty markets.
- Product launch experience highly desired.
- Successful completion of required customer credentialing (trainings, background screens, drug testing, vaccinations).
Territory/Travel Requirements:
- Must live and work within the territory (may need to live near a major airport).
- Valid driverโs license.
- Travel up to 80% and work after hours as needed; 10โ30% overnight travel.
