Role Summary
The Key Account Manager plans and executes account-level engagement strategies for priority accounts, aligning engagement to stakeholder needs and working with cross-functional partners to support consistent, compliant execution.

Primary Responsibilities
Account Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute account plans for priority accounts aligned to account dynamics, stakeholder roles, and patient care pathways.
- Apply approved strategies/tools/resources to address account opportunities and barriers in line with compliance standards.
- Prioritize account activities to optimize customer experience and adoption across the care continuum.
- Develop territory market strategies using patient identification and treatment center patterns; continuously assess opportunities by analyzing key account plans.

Targeted Stakeholder Engagement
- Tailor engagement to clinical, operational, and administrative decision-makers to drive agreement decisions.
- Support Medical-led scientific/clinical/value-based engagement in coordination with Medical and cross-functional partners.
- Build and maintain trust-based relationships with key stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Regional/Matrix Execution
- Collaborate with cross-functional field partners for aligned, timely, compliant execution.
- Partner with Commercial, Medical, Market Access & Patient Services, Patient Advocacy, and Compliance to improve patient access and experience.
- Serve as an Account point of contact and share insights/trends to inform broader strategy.
- Contribute to regional planning/performance discussions with field insights; align actions and messaging across touchpoints.

Education/Experience & Skills (Required/Preferred)
- Bachelorโ€™s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years biotech/pharma field experience (hospital/academic medical centers, strategic sales, or medical-adjacent commercial roles). Childrenโ€™s hospital experience plus.
- 4+ years rare neuromuscular disease market experience; buy/bill infused products preferred.
- Ability to tailor engagement across stakeholder types and handle complex patient situations compliantly.
- Proven success in a matrixed, team-based field environment.
- Strong understanding of patient care pathways/access and specialty healthcare landscape.
- Specialty product launch experience plus.
- Excellent communication, business acumen, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Travel up to 80% required.

Field Requirements
- Reside within assigned territory and within reasonable driving distance of a major commercial airport.

Compensation
- $190,000 - $225,000 USD (base pay range).
