Position Summary
- Key Account Management (KAM) to support Afrezzaโs commercial growth within targeted Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), Academic Medical Centers (AMCs), and Pediatric Endocrinology Centers. Reporting to the Regional Director of Key Accounts (East).
Principal Responsibilities
- Manage assigned institutional accounts; build relationships with clinical, administrative, and pharmacy decision-makers to support product access and demand generation.
- Partner with care teams, prescribers, and EMR stakeholders to integrate Afrezza into treatment protocols, care pathways, and formularies.
- Develop and execute detailed tactical account plans; maintain accurate and up-to-date account profiles.
- Coordinate with Sales, Market Access, Trade, Field Reimbursement, Medical Affairs, and Patient Support to drive Afrezza adoption.
- Identify and execute pull-through strategies to ensure patient access after formulary access is secured.
- Provide insights on access barriers, emerging opportunities, and competitor activity; analyze data to update account plans.
Qualifications
- 5โ8 years pharma/biotech experience; 2โ3 years in institutional/account-based role.
- Bachelorโs degree required (advanced degree a plus).
- Proven track record with IDNs, AMCs, or large group practices.
- Knowledge of diabetes/endocrinology.
- Strong understanding of formulary processes, care delivery models, and account-based selling.
- Experience collaborating across Sales, Access, Medical, and Marketing.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Field-based; regular in-person engagements.
- Ability to work evenings/weekends as needed.
- Attend and represent MannKind at events.
- Travel 50%โ75%.
