Role Summary
The J&J Technology XENA Software Engineering Off Cycle Co-Op is a full-time, March to September 2026 position on the XENA Developer Experience team. The program provides comprehensive learning and professional experience in technology at a leading healthcare company and serves as a feeder pool for TLDP after graduation. A successful candidate will support the XENA platform with a focus on Hosted VSCode IDE, XENA CLI & SDK, and GenAI-related platforms. This is a hybrid role based in Raritan, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Assist in engineering of a Hosted VSCode IDE based solution.
- Support the development and maintenance of Go (XENA CLI & SDK) and Python (GenAI MCP) based applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure software delivery processes are efficient and meet compliance standards.
- Assist in orchestrating automated deployments of applications via a GitOps (ArgoCD) approach.
- Participate in fixing and resolving build and deployment issues.
- Perform system and application monitoring to ensure efficient platform performance.
- Document processes and provide insights for improvements within DevOps lifecycle.
- Function independently on tasks and collaborate with team members and collaborators to achieve project goals.

Qualifications
- Permanent US work authorization without the need for sponsorship now, or in the future (the company does not provide sponsorship for employment visa status; CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT require future sponsorship).
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, reflective of all college coursework.
- Be currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelorโs or masterโs degree; cannot graduate prior to the agreed end date.
- For bachelor-level students, by start date, must be considered a sophomore or above.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours a week during regular working hours) for the full term. Planned dates March โ September 2026.
