Role Summary

IT Systems Administrator Co-op for Spring 2026. The role involves interacting with senior leaders, learning from business partners, and supporting IT operations within Wave Life Sciences. This position emphasizes strong communication, foundational IT knowledge, and the ability to support enterprise infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide services to day-to-day operating objectives of the assigned area, participate in Wave IT projects and programs, and support the Head of IT Operations.
  • Gain knowledge of IT department technologies and procedures.
  • Receive guidance, training, and mentoring from senior IT team members in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.
  • Assist team members by performing tasks necessary to support Enterprise Infrastructure and build foundational skills and knowledge.
  • Assist with ticket management and resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, manager, mentors, and team members on the status of work; ask relevant questions and listen attentively.
  • Utilize ServiceNow to coordinate support activities.
  • Participate in infrastructure-related projects and contribute to thorough documentation and knowledge sharing.
  • Create and update Knowledge Base (KB) documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Computer Science or related field bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college/university.
  • A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
  • Strong Windows operating system background.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-organized and able to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to take direction to resolve incidents quickly and effectively.
  • Able to complete routine tasks independently over time, developing functional, technical, and problem-solving skills.
