Role Summary

The IT Infrastructure Manager will own the full lifecycle of Arrowhead’s IT infrastructure across multiple sites, including on‑premises, virtualized, and cloud-based assets used to support all business functions. The role requires hands-on participation and leadership of day‑to‑day IT operations, with the ability to work independently and lead a team in a fast‑paced, demanding environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all IT infrastructure including software, hardware, servers, and networks
  • Design and implement strategic plans to ensure the IT infrastructure supports the company’s current needs and future growth
  • Implement, manage, upgrade, and maintain virtualized environments using hypervisors (VMware, Nutanix, Hyper‑V)
  • Deploy and manage physical and virtual servers in on‑premises and cloud environments
  • Manage Windows domain environment deploying and managing servers including AD, DNS, DHCP, NPS, WSUS, File and Print
  • Architect and maintain company‑wide storage solutions (SAN/NAS on‑prem and cloud)
  • Design and maintain Azure and AWS compute and storage to meet business needs
  • Perform regular backup operations and implement data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures meeting established RTO and RPO
  • In‑depth Group Policy experience
  • Patch Windows endpoints via WSUS and/or third‑party tools
  • Manage employees, contractors, and service providers involved in supporting IT infrastructure
  • Basic LAN/WAN/SD‑WAN network management
  • Develop and manage IT policies and procedures
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Ensure data is handled, transferred, or processed according to legal and company guidelines
  • Manage IT infrastructure budget
  • Coordinate IT activities to ensure data availability and network services with minimal downtime
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts
  • Stay current with IT trends and technologies to drive innovation

Qualifications

  • Required: 5+ years experience working in a systems administrator or infrastructure management role
  • Required: Proven experience as an IT Infrastructure Manager, IT Manager or similar role
  • Required: Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
  • Required: Experience in controlling information technology budget
  • Required: Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks
  • Required: Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Required: Outstanding communication skills
  • Required: Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Preferred: Excellent experience with pharmaceutical/CRO industry regulations, standards, and guidelines (GxP, CSV/CSA validation, 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, SDLC)
  • Preferred: Pharmaceutical or CRO experience
