Immunoassay Sales Specialist (Great Lakes Territory)

Position Summary
- Sales of automated Immunoassay instruments and related consumables in the assigned Great Lakes Territory (Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee).
- Develop and execute strategic plans for the assay solutions portfolio to increase sales and grow market share.
- Field-based role supporting customers; travel to visit customers 75% of the time.
- Candidate should reside within the territory (preference for candidates based in one of the covered states).
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets using consultative selling methods.
- Maintain and develop incremental business in existing and new accounts.
- Coordinate with the Commercial Team to provide a unified customer approach.
- Be familiar with scientific methods, techniques, reagents, and equipment relevant to the product line.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts for instruments and reagents.
- Use Salesforce.com to manage leads, customers, and opportunities; track progress with dashboards/KPIs.
- Plan and execute account management to meet goals.
- Ensure customers understand value proposition, features/benefits, competitive advantages, and applications.
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in the life science tools space, with 2+ years selling in related markets.
- Immunoassay experience highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Interpersonal, presentation, and time/territory management skills.
- Technical knowledge of reagents and lab methods/equipment used in pharma/biologics R&D and production.
- Ability to communicate with customers on a technical level.
- Strong oral/written communication (negotiation, persuasion, problem-solving).
- Active listening and ability to translate insights into a customer value proposition.
- Proficient in MS Office/PowerPoint; Salesforce.com knowledge a plus.
- Self-starter with independence; works well in a team environment.
Compensation/Benefits (as stated)
- Base salary plus commission plan and long-term incentive package of stock grants (per company policy).
