Position Summary
- Immunoassay Sales Specialist responsible for sales of automated Immunoassay instruments and related consumables in the assigned Government/RTP East Territory (North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington, DC, and Maryland). Develop and execute strategic plans for the assay solutions portfolio to increase sales and grow market share.
- Field-based; visit customers 75% of the time. Reside within the territory (preference for candidates based in covered states).
- Eligible for commission plan and long-term incentive stock grants (in addition to base salary).
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets using consultative selling.
- Maintain and develop incremental business in existing and new accounts.
- Coordinate with the Commercial Team to deliver solutions.
- Familiar with scientific methods, reagents, and equipment relevant to the product line.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts for instruments and reagents.
- Use Salesforce.com to manage leads, customers, and opportunities; track KPIs via dashboards.
- Plan and execute account management.
- Ensure customers understand value proposition, features/benefits, competitive advantages, and applications.
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Life Science tools; 2+ years selling in related markets/space.
- Immunoassay experience highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Interpersonal, presentation, and territory management skills.
- Technical knowledge of reagents/lab techniques used in pharma/biologics R&D and production; ability to communicate technically.
- Strong written/oral communication (negotiation, persuasion, problem-solving).
- Proficient listening/questioning and translating needs into customer value.
- MS Office/PowerPoint and Salesforce.com knowledge a plus.
- Independent self-starter; team-oriented.
