Position Summary
- Immunoassay Sales Specialist responsible for sales of automated immunoassay instruments and related consumables in the assigned Government/RTP East territory (NC, VA, WV, Washington DC, MD). Field-based; travel to customers ~75% of the time. Reside within the territory (preference for covered states).
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets using consultative selling.
- Maintain and grow business in existing and new accounts.
- Coordinate with the Commercial Team to promote Bio-Techne solutions.
- Understand and communicate value proposition, features/benefits, competitive advantages, and applications.
- Forecast sales for instruments and reagents.
- Use Salesforce.com to manage leads, customers, and opportunities; track KPIs via dashboards.
- Plan and execute account management to meet goals.
Job Qualifications
- 5+ yearsβ experience in the Life Science tools space, with 2+ years selling in related markets.
- Immunoassay experience highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Interpersonal, presentation, and territory management skills.
- Technical knowledge of reagents, lab techniques/methods/equipment used in pharma/biologics R&D and production.
- Ability to engage customers on a technical level; strong written/verbal communication, negotiation, persuasion, and problem-solving.
- Proficient listening/understanding/ questioning and translating needs into value propositions.
- MS Office/PowerPoint and Salesforce.com knowledge a plus.
- Independent self-starter; able to work in a team environment.
