Role Summary

Location: Dallas West, TX. Territory includes Dallas, Amarillo and Lubbock. The Health and Science System Specialist (HSSS) launches new products, manages business relationships, understands formulary access, and promotes products within assigned accounts. This role combines customer, market and business acumen with strong product and disease-state knowledge to drive sales and engage healthcare professionals in both virtual and in-person settings.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement the most efficient virtual/in-person engagement strategies by customer to maximize effectiveness; develop and implement effective business and territory call plans and adapt based on opportunities and insights.
  • Strategically build rapport with KOLs and customers across virtual and face-to-face environments; use digital tools effectively and adapt to new tools to enable successful customer engagement; leverage analytics for insights and next best action plans.
  • Compliantly engage key customers to grow business and drive product demand by proactively providing education that best meets HCP and patient needs.
  • Develop and deliver relevant, targeted messaging using approved materials to drive product demand; leverage account priorities to drive positive business outcomes and provide insights for new messaging and resources.
  • Educate providers on unbranded and branded product value propositions; utilize clinically oriented disease state information as applicable.
  • Create meaningful impact with HCPs and coordinate with office staff to plan engagements in multiple formats (virtual and in-person).
  • Optimize engagements for strategic deployment of Pfizer resources to support provider and patient needs.
  • Support patient access to Pfizer products by providing information on reimbursement, Patient Assistant Program, hub programs, and co-pay resources.
  • Present terms of sale or existing contract terms where appropriate; answer on-label questions; introduce customers to Pfizer on-demand portal with targeted content.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to address inquiries; use triaging protocols and digital apps to connect with SMEs quickly.
  • Utilize calendaring tools and leadership goals to address customer priorities; share insights from customer surveys with leadership to improve models.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of institutions, health systems, and target HCPs; drive sales in assigned health system accounts.
  • Contribute to the productivity and effectiveness of the IAT by generating and sharing insights and managing relationships where appropriate.
  • Understand and navigate changes in the healthcare landscape; influence customers by uncovering needs and communicating persuasively.
  • Understand stakeholder mapping and the patient journey; use insights toward local planning; develop strategic account selling and management skills.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Required: Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical/biotech or medical marketing/promotional/sales experience; OR an associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience; OR a high school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Required: History of marketing, promotional or sales success, strong territory management, outstanding communications skills, and demonstrated teamwork, leadership and accountability.
  • Required: Must live within 25 miles of the border of the territory.
  • Required: Valid US driver’s license and a driving record in compliance with company standards.
  • Required: Demonstrated leadership across peer groups with the ability to sell within specialized market where third-party reimbursement and service center has been utilized.
  • Preferred: Advanced knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products.
  • Preferred: Strategic account marketing, promotional, sales and management skills.
  • Preferred: Develop comprehensive territory/account/customer plans to drive achievement of desired objectives.
  • Preferred: Superior marketing, promotional, sales, technical and relationship building skills.
  • Preferred: Consistent track record of assessing account needs and bringing relevant information and resources to drive performance.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel to all accounts/office locations within territory.
  • Depending on territory size and business need, overnight stays may be required.
