Responsibilities:
- Use product knowledge to engage in customized discussions and in-person interactions based on customer needs in a compliant and ethical manner
- Drive outstanding sales performance to ensure sales forecasts are met or exceeded
- Effectively use assigned budgets to drive therapeutic and territory expectations
- Maintain current understanding of local market, practice structures, business models, and key influencers; routinely share with relevant stakeholders
- Work with customers/accounts to understand practice structure, business model, key influencers, network structure, customer needs, and identify business opportunities
- Use analytical tools to evaluate the business and determine how to accomplish sales objectives with appropriate, ethical resource allocation
- Develop and execute a business plan with leaders; understand formulary approvals and other opportunities and how they fit into the plan
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver resources and pull-through within the territory
- Demonstrate administrative excellence for work hours, sales call data, customer objective responses, and sample/expense reporting
Requirements:
- Bachelorโs degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of specialty sales experience (prefer rare disease and injectable; adult endocrinology preferred)
- Ability to work in an ambiguous, changing environment (start-up experience preferred)
- Experience with complex distribution systems and HUB services
- Proven strong performance; experience in new product launch environment preferred
- Experience working with patient services in a distribution HUB and specialty pharmacies
- Self-starter with excellent decision-making, judgment, and ethics
- Proven ability to collaborate across functions
- Experience in specialty drug (rare/orphan disease) environment
- Ability to develop a successful business plan based on customer and patient needs
- Ability to analyze data/metrics to track objectives, diagnose issues, and identify opportunities
- Experience establishing customer relationships and communicating technical information ethically and effectively
- Ability to meet credentialing requirements
- Valid driverโs license and safe driving record
- Overnight travel required
Compensation (if applicable): Annual base salary $190,000; actual salary varies. Some roles may include a company car/car allowance and eligibility for commissions/bonus.
