Responsibilities:
- Use product knowledge to engage in customized discussions and in-person interactions based on customer needs in a compliant and ethical manner.
- Drive outstanding sales performance to meet or exceed sales forecasts.
- Use assigned budgets to drive therapeutic and territory expectations.
- Maintain understanding of local market/practice structures/business models and key influencers; routinely share insights with relevant stakeholders.
- Work with customers/accounts to understand practice structure, business model, key influencers, network structure, customer needs, and identify business opportunities.
- Use analytical tools to evaluate the business and determine how to accomplish sales objectives and apply resources effectively and ethically.
- Work with leaders to develop a business plan to achieve goals and sales objectives; understand formulary approvals and other opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver resources and pull-through within the territory.
- Ensure administrative excellence (work hours, sales call data, customer objective responses, sample/expense reporting, and other administrative items).

Requirements:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years specialty sales experience (prefer rare disease/injectables; adult endocrinology preferred).
- Ability to work in ambiguous, changing environments (startup experience preferred).
- Experience with complex distribution systems/HUB services.
- Proven strong performance (current strong performance).
- Experience in new product launches preferred.
- Experience selling into hospitals/universities/health networks/large systems plus physician offices.
- Specialty pharma or rare disease experience is a plus.
- Track record navigating multiple stakeholders to gain approval and adoption.
- Strong relationship-building (pharmacists, hospital administrators, physicians).
- Experience with patient services in distribution HUBs and specialty pharmacies.
- Self-starter with excellent decision-making, judgment, and ethics.
- Proven ability to collaborate across functions.
- Ability to address customer/patient needs compliantly in a specialty drug (rare/orphan) environment.
- Ability to develop a successful business plan based on customer and patient needs.
- Ability to analyze data/metrics to track objectives, diagnose performance issues, and identify opportunities.
- Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information ethically and effectively.
- Ability to meet credentialing requirements.
- Valid driverโ€™s license and safe driving record.
- Overnight travel required.
