Responsibilities:
- Use product knowledge to engage in compliant, ethical discussions and in-person interactions based on customer needs.
- Drive sales performance to meet or exceed forecasts.
- Use assigned budgets to achieve therapeutic and territory expectations.
- Stay current on local market/practice structures/business models and key influencers; share insights with Sales/Commercial Leaders.
- Understand customer/accounts (structure, model, influencers, network, needs) and identify business opportunities.
- Use analytical tools to evaluate business needs and allocate resources effectively.
- Develop and execute a business plan; understand formulary approvals and how they support plan implementation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to secure resources and drive pull-through in the territory.
- Maintain administrative excellence (work hours, call data, responses, sample/expense reporting, and other administrative items).

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years specialty sales experience (preferably rare disease and injectable; adult endocrinology preferred).
- Ability to work in ambiguous/changing environments (startup experience preferred).
- Experience with complex distribution systems and HUB services.
- Proven strong performance; new product launch experience preferred.
- Experience selling into hospitals/universities/health networks and large organizations (plus physicians’ offices).
- Specialty pharmaceuticals/rare disease is a plus; ability to navigate multiple stakeholders to get approvals/usage.
- Strong relationship-building with pharmacists, hospital administrators, and physicians; tailored communication.
- Experience with patient services via distribution HUBs and specialty pharmacies.
- Self-starter with excellent decision-making, judgment, and ethics; collaborative.
- Business-plan development based on customer/patient needs; ability to analyze data/metrics.
- Ability to meet credentialing requirements; valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Overnight travel required.

Compensation:
- Annual base salary: $190,000 (varies by qualifications; may include car/car allowance and commissions/bonus).
