Position Summary:
Immunization Specialist (IS) drives healthcare provider (HCP) engagement and adult vaccine uptake. Educates HCPs and office staff on disease prevention and GSKโs vaccine portfolio, translating clinical data into conversations that support immunization goals.
Responsibilities:
- Engage HCPs (internal medicine, family practice, health departments) using approved materials to communicate clinical value.
- Build expertise in vaccine therapeutic areas, GSK products, and competitors.
- Support peer-to-peer education, conventions, and speaker events.
- Tailor engagement to local practice dynamics and HCP/account needs.
- Ensure pull-through across adult segments (stocking, in-office vaccination, and/or referral process).
- Partner with Vaccine Account Managers to drive pull-through in Public Awardees, Health Systems, and contracted accounts.
- Influence uptake of publicly funded vaccines by understanding immunization goals and funding cycles.
- Support ordering and inventory management; educate HCPs/staff on HS policies.
- Identify/address barriers to contract execution and utilization; provide actionable feedback.
- Collaborate with Market Access, Medical Affairs, and account teams; address vaccine access/reimbursement/workflow barriers.
- Maintain compliant customer engagement and accurate CRM documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 2 years business-to-business or pharmaceutical sales experience.
- Travel locally/regionally; occasional overnights/weekends.
- Valid driverโs license; willingness to drive (no relocation assistance).
Preferred:
- 2+ years vaccines sales; strong performance; account-selling in healthcare; science/business/customer engagement competency; healthcare knowledge; learning agility.
Benefits/Compensation (US):
Base salary $119,250โ$198,750; annual bonus; share-based long-term incentive eligibility; health/insurance, retirement, paid holidays/vacation, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
Location:
Field-based; candidate must reside in Quincy, Springfield, or within the territory.
