Human Resources Senior Director: Human Resources Business Partner (Global Development)

What You Will Do
- Support HR for Global Development (across therapeutic areas) and Global “Oncology” Development; partner with SVPs and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with client leadership teams and global Centers of Excellence to execute people strategies (org design, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, workforce planning).
- Drive enabling strategies, including utilization of Amgen India (AIN) in Hyderabad for clinical trial conduct and data management operating model.
- Serve as trusted advisor to business leaders and employees; execute HR programs and initiatives; oversee leadership development, talent management, staff engagement and retention; partner with Talent Acquisition to attract top talent.
- Use data and people insights to coach on HR/business issues (change management, talent development, team/organizational effectiveness, workforce planning).
- Develop HR metrics strategy and reporting; leverage functional metrics (e.g., turnover, engagement, workforce effectiveness).
- Shape a high-performing, highly engaged culture; lead talent management to strengthen leadership pipeline.
- Acquire, develop, engage, and retain talent; manage succession planning to address leadership gaps.
- Partner on Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (DI&B) efforts with Talent & Culture; provide input on culture/inclusion strategy.
- Lead large-scale change across functions and geographies; influence executive decision-making on business transformation and future-of-work.
- Partner with Compensation to monitor financial competitiveness and benchmarking.
- Support global delivery of HR initiatives to achieve strategic goals.
- Stay current on talent trends and provide thought leadership.
- Collaborate with broader HR team to share knowledge and improve effectiveness.

What We Expect Of You
Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate + 5 years HR experience, or Master’s + 9 years HR experience, or Bachelor’s + 11 years HR experience.
- At least 5 years managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams/projects/programs/directing resources.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or MBA; 10+ years complex HR in a fast-paced technical/pharma biotech environment.
- 7+ years supervisory experience.
- Broad HR knowledge; employment laws/regulations familiarity.
- Translate enterprise HR strategy into business action plans.
- Data evaluation (Insights & Story Telling) and technical/technological savviness.
- Leadership development, succession planning & sourcing.
- Strong relationship management; innovative HR/process improvement mindset.
- Strong analytics, problem solving, consulting, change and project management.
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills; influence without authority.
- Global mindset and cross-functional/global partnership ability.
