Human Resources Business Partner, Director - Finance

Role: The Director, HRBP - Finance serves as a strategic partner to Amgen's Finance leadership, advising on organizational and talent strategies to support growth, transformation, and operational excellence. Responsibilities include aligning people initiatives with business goals, leading organizational design and change management, driving talent development and succession planning, fostering a high-performance culture, and leveraging analytics for decision-making. It involves partnering with senior leaders across global finance functions such as Accounting, Treasury, and FP&A to implement workforce planning, talent acquisition, and organizational effectiveness initiatives. Requirements: Advanced degree (Doctorate, Master’s, or Bachelor’s) with 4-9+ years of HR experience, ideally in a fast-paced biotech or pharmaceutical environment. Preferred qualifications include 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years at the Director level supporting finance or corporate functions, and experience leading organizational transformation and workforce planning. High-value specifics: Experience in biotech/pharma, supporting global or highly regulated environments, and working with senior executive teams. Skills in talent analytics, influencing without authority, and navigating matrixed organizations are essential. The role reports to an Executive Director, HR, and involves collaboration across HR centers of excellence.
