Hospital Senior Account Manager (Territory: Shreveport, LA, AR, MS, TN)

Role Overview
- Supports and advances formulary access, protocol/order set readiness, discharge pathway support, and demand generation across targeted hospital accounts.
- Engages Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management/discharge planners, and IDN decision makers (e.g., CMO, Pharmacy Directors, P&T Committee members) to drive sales.

Key Responsibilities
- Achieve/exceed sales targets via an integrated territory business plan.
- Secure and translate hospital formulary wins/market access into consistent prescribing and utilization.
- Provide scientific/clinical information and deliver sales presentations to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Engage pharmacy/medical/operational stakeholders in discussions supporting patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and readmission reduction.
- Collaborate with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners to support access and therapy continuity.
- Identify/address barriers to product adoption; plan activities to meet call metrics and optimize coverage.
- Deliver clinical brand presentations and conduct educational programs/in-services/speaker programs (compliant scientific discussions).
- Maintain account knowledge and analyze utilization trends/customer insights to identify opportunities.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy and develop territory plans with the Regional Sales Director.
- Manage territory budget; complete administrative tasks; maintain compliance with corporate/industry policies.

Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS; valid driver’s license.
- 5+ years in pharma/medical/biotech; 3+ years calling on hospitals/health systems.
- Experience with hospital decision-making, clinical pathways, formulary management, antimicrobial stewardship.
- Travel up to 50%; lift/move up to 35 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications
- Top-tier sales performance and product launch success; demand generation in hospitals.
- Anti-infective experience; expertise in account selling/complex sales.
- Health systems business model knowledge; experience engaging specialist physicians/hospitalists/pharmacy leadership.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong data analysis/business planning; adaptability and compliance.
