Hospital Senior Account Manager, Anti-Infectives - San Francisco, CA / Reno, NV

The Hospital Account Specialty Representative supports and advances formulary access, protocol and order set readiness, discharge pathway support, and demand generation across targeted hospital accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed sales targets in the assigned territory by developing, implementing, and executing an integrated business plan.
- Secure and translate hospital formulary wins and market access achievements into consistent prescribing/utilization.
- Engage pharmacy, medical, and operational stakeholders in clinical discussions supporting patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and readmission reduction.
- Facilitate collaboration with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
- Identify and address barriers impacting product adoption.
- Plan and organize activities to achieve call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency.
- Deliver clinical brand presentations; conduct educational/in-services/speaker programs.
- Understand each accountβs healthcare delivery system, physician hierarchy, key pharmacy personnel, and clinical nursing staff.
Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS from an accredited institution.
- Valid driverβs license.
- Travel up to 50% (including overnight).
- 5+ years pharmaceutical/medical/biotech industry experience.
- 3+ years calling on hospitals and health systems.
- Experience with hospital decision-making, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Top-tier sales performance and product launch success.
- Demand generation experience in hospitals; anti-infective experience preferred.
- Account selling expertise; deep health systems model knowledge.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
