The Hospital Senior Account Manager supports and advances formulary access, protocol and order set readiness, discharge pathway support, and demand generation across targeted hospital accounts. This role engages Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision makers to drive sales.

Key responsibilities
- Meet/exceed sales targets in assigned territory via an integrated territory business plan.
- Engage clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.
- Provide scientific/clinical information and deliver compliant sales presentations to HCPs.
- Secure and translate formulary wins/market access into consistent prescribing and utilization.
- Lead clinical discussions supporting patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and readmission reduction.
- Facilitate collaboration with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
- Identify/address barriers to product adoption; plan activities to optimize call metrics, coverage, and frequency.
- Conduct educational programs/in-services/speaker programs and comply with all policies.

Basic qualifications
- BA/BS from an accredited institution
- Valid driver’s license
- 5+ years pharmaceutical/medical/biotech experience
- 3+ years calling on hospitals/health systems
- Experience with hospital decision-making, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship
- Travel up to 50%
- Ability to lift/move up to 35 lbs

Preferred qualifications
- Proven top-tier sales performance and product launch success
- Demand generation success in hospitals
- Anti-infective experience
- Account selling/process expertise; strong understanding of health system decision makers (P&T/formulary)
- Experience engaging specialist physicians/hospitalists/pharmacy leadership
