Role Responsibilities:
- Support and advance formulary access, protocol/order set readiness, discharge pathway support, and demand generation across targeted hospital accounts.
- Develop and execute an integrated territory business plan; manage hospital relationships by engaging clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.
- Provide scientific/clinical disease-state and approved product information.
- Deliver approved product sales presentations to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and other clinic personnel using a customer engagement selling model.
- Collaborate across a matrixed sales organization with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive execution and business success.
- Secure and translate hospital formulary wins/market access into consistent prescribing and utilization.
- Engage pharmacy, medical, and operational stakeholders in discussions supporting patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and readmission reduction.
- Identify and address barriers (clinical/operational/behavioral/process) impacting product adoption.
- Plan/organize activities to achieve call metrics; optimize coverage/frequency to key customers.
- Conduct educational programs and compliant scientific discussions.
- Analyze utilization trends and market dynamics to identify opportunities; provide feedback on marketing strategy.
- Manage territory budget; complete administrative tasks; maintain compliance with corporate/industry policies.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS from an accredited institution; valid driverβs license.
- 5+ years in pharma/medical/biotech; 3+ years calling on hospitals/health systems.
- Experience with hospital decision-making, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship.
- Travel up to 50% (including overnight). Ability to lift/move up to 35 pounds.
Preferred:
- Top-tier sales performance; proven product launch success.
- Demand generation success in hospitals; Anti-Infective experience.
- Expertise in account selling/complex sales processes; deep Health Systems model knowledge.
- Experience engaging specialist physicians/hospitalists/pharmacy leadership; collaborate across care settings.
- Strong data analysis, adaptability, compliance, and presentation/selling skills.
