The Hospital Senior Account Manager supports and advances formulary access, protocol/order set readiness, discharge pathway support, and demand generation across targeted hospital accounts. Engages Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and IDN decision makers (e.g., CMO, Pharmacy Directors, P&T Committee members) to drive sales by developing and executing an integrated territory business plan.

Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve/exceed sales targets via an integrated business plan prioritizing high-value customers.
- Secure/translate formulary and market access into consistent prescribing and utilization.
- Engage pharmacy, medical, and operational stakeholders in clinical discussions (patient ID, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, readmission reduction).
- Facilitate collaboration with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
- Identify/address barriers (clinical, operational, behavioral, process) impacting adoption.
- Optimize coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales.
- Deliver comprehensive clinical brand presentations and conduct in-services/speaker programs/compliant scientific discussions.
- Understand account healthcare delivery systems and stakeholder hierarchy.
- Develop product/account knowledge; analyze utilization trends and local market dynamics.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; develop territory plans with Regional Sales Director and brand team.
- Manage territory budget; complete administrative tasks; maintain compliance and participate in training.

Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS from an accredited institution; valid driver’s license.
- 5+ years pharma/medical/biotech experience; 3+ years calling on hospitals/health systems.
- Hospital decision processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, antimicrobial stewardship experience.
- Travel up to 50%; ability to lift/move up to 35 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Top-tier sales performance and product launch success; demand generation in hospitals.
- Anti-infective experience; account selling and complex sales process expertise.
- Health systems business model/stakeholder knowledge; experience with specialist physicians/pharmacists.
- Data/trend analysis for business plans; flexibility; strong compliance; exceptional selling/presentation skills.
