The Hospital Senior Account Manager supports and advances formulary access, protocol and order set readiness, discharge pathway support, and demand generation across targeted hospital accounts. Engages Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management/discharge planners, and IDN decision makers (CMO, Pharmacy Directors, P&T Committee members) to drive sales.

Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve/exceed sales targets via an integrated territory business plan.
- Secure and translate formulary wins/market access into prescribing and utilization.
- Engage pharmacy, medical, and operational stakeholders in clinical discussions (patient ID, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, readmission reduction).
- Facilitate collaboration with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
- Identify/address barriers to product adoption (clinical/operational/behavioral/process).
- Optimize customer coverage and frequency to maximize access and sales.
- Deliver comprehensive clinical brand presentations and conduct educational/speaker/in-service programs.
- Analyze utilization trends and market dynamics to identify opportunities.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; develop territory plans with Regional Sales Director/brand team.
- Manage territory budget; complete administrative tasks; maintain compliance.

Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS from an accredited institution.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 5+ years pharmaceutical/medical/biotech industry experience.
- 3+ years calling on hospitals/health systems.
- Experience with hospital decision-making, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship.
- Travel up to 50% (overnight included).
- Ability to lift/move up to 35 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Top-tier sales performance and product launch success; demand generation in hospitals.
- Anti-Infective experience.
- Account selling in complex sales processes; deep health system model knowledge.
- Experience engaging specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; analyze data/trends; flexibility/adaptability; strong compliance.
