The Hospital Senior Account Manager supports formulary access, protocol/order set readiness, discharge pathway support, and demand generation across targeted hospital accounts. Engages Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management, discharge planners, and IDN decision makers (e.g., CMO, Pharmacy Directors, P&T Committee) to drive sales.

Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve/exceed sales targets via an integrated territory business plan; prioritize high-value customers and growth opportunities.
- Secure/translate hospital formulary wins and market access into consistent prescribing/utilization.
- Lead clinical discussions with pharmacy/medical/operational stakeholders to support patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and readmission reduction.
- Collaborate with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners to support access and therapy continuity.
- Identify and address adoption barriers (clinical, operational, behavioral, process-related).
- Optimize call metrics/coverage to key customers.
- Deliver clinical brand presentations and conduct compliant educational programs/in-services/speaker programs.
- Understand account delivery systems and physician hierarchy; maintain product/account knowledge.
- Analyze utilization trends and market dynamics to identify opportunities.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; develop territory plans with leadership; manage territory budget; complete administrative tasks; maintain compliance.

Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS from an accredited institution; valid driver’s license.
- 5+ years in pharma/medical/biotech; 3+ years calling on hospitals/health systems.
- Experience with hospital decision-making, clinical pathways, formulary management, antimicrobial stewardship.
- Travel up to 50% (overnight included); lift/move up to 35 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Top-tier sales performance; product launch success; demand generation in hospitals; anti-infective experience.
- Account selling in complex processes; deep Health Systems knowledge (P&T/formulary, etc.); experience engaging specialists/hospitalists/pharmacy leadership.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; data analysis for business planning; adaptability; strong compliance; exceptional presentation/selling skills.
