The Hospital Senior Account Manager supports formulary access, protocol/order set readiness, discharge pathway support, and demand generation across targeted hospital accounts. Engages Infectious Disease physicians and other hospital stakeholders to drive sales.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute an integrated territory business plan; meet/exceed sales targets.
- Manage hospital relationships with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.
- Provide scientific/clinical information and deliver compliant clinical brand presentations.
- Present approved products to physicians, APPs, and appropriate clinic personnel using a customer engagement selling model.
- Secure and translate formulary wins/market access into consistent prescribing and utilization.
- Lead clinical discussions supporting patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and readmission reduction.
- Collaborate with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
- Identify/address barriers to adoption (clinical, operational, behavioral, process-related).
- Optimize call coverage/frequency; achieve call metrics.
- Analyze utilization trends and local market dynamics to identify opportunities.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy and territory performance; manage territory budget.
- Complete administrative tasks and maintain compliance with corporate/industry policies.

Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS from an accredited institution.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 5+ years pharmaceutical/medical/biotech experience.
- 3+ years calling on hospitals/health systems.
- Experience with hospital decision-making, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship.
- Travel up to 50% (including overnight).
- Ability to lift/move up to 35 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Top-tier sales performance; product launch success.
- Demand generation experience in hospitals.
- Anti-infective experience.
- Account selling expertise; deep Health Systems model knowledge (P&T, formulary, etc.).
- Experience engaging specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
- Experience across hospital and community settings; strong presentation/selling and business acumen.
