The Hospital Senior Account Manager supports and advances formulary access, protocol and order set readiness, discharge pathway support, and demand generation across targeted hospital accounts. Engages Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and key decision makers of IDNs to drive sales.

Key Responsibilities:
- Meet/exceed sales objectives by developing and executing an integrated territory business plan.
- Manage hospital relationships; engage clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.
- Provide scientific/clinical information and deliver sales presentations to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive aligned execution and business success.
- Secure and translate formulary wins/market access into consistent prescribing and utilization.
- Engage pharmacy, medical, and operational stakeholders in clinical discussions supporting patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and readmission reduction.
- Identify/address barriers impacting adoption; plan activities to achieve call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency.
- Conduct educational programs, in-services, speaker programs, and compliant scientific discussions.
- Develop account knowledge; analyze utilization trends and local market dynamics.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy and territory performance; develop plans with Regional Sales Director and brand team.
- Manage territory budget; complete administrative tasks; maintain compliance with policies.

Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS from an accredited institution.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 5+ years pharmaceutical/medical/biotech industry experience.
- 3+ years calling on hospitals/health systems.
- Experience with hospital decision-making, clinical pathways, formulary management, antimicrobial stewardship.
- Travel up to 50% (overnight included).
- Ability to lift/move up to 35 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Top-tier sales performance and product launch success; demand generation within hospitals.
- Anti-infective experience.
- Expertise in account selling/complex sales; deep Health Systems business model knowledge.
- Experience engaging specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
- Experience collaborating across hospital and community care; ability to work independently and on teams.
- Strong data analysis, adaptability, compliance adherence, and presentation/business acumen.
