The Hospital Senior Account Manager supports and advances formulary access, protocol and order set readiness, discharge pathway support, and demand generation across targeted hospital accounts. Drives sales by engaging Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management teams, discharge planners, and key IDN decision makers.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed sales targets by developing and executing an integrated territory business plan.
- Manage hospital relationships with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.
- Provide scientific/clinical information within the disease state area and approved product.
- Deliver sales presentations to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and other personnel.
- Secure and translate formulary wins and market access into consistent prescribing/utilization.
- Engage pharmacy/medical/operational stakeholders in clinical discussions (patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, readmission reduction).
- Facilitate collaboration with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
- Identify and address barriers impacting product adoption.
- Plan/organize activities to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency.
- Deliver clinical brand presentations and conduct compliant educational programs/in-services/speaker programs.
- Analyze utilization trends and market dynamics to identify opportunities; provide feedback to support territory plans.
- Manage territory budget; complete administrative tasks; maintain compliance with corporate/industry policies.
Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS from an accredited institution.
- Valid driverβs license.
- 5+ years in pharmaceutical/medical/biotech.
- 3+ years calling on hospitals/health systems.
- Hospital decision-making, clinical pathways, formulary management, antimicrobial stewardship experience.
- Travel up to 50% (including overnight).
- Ability to lift/move up to 35 pounds.

- Expertise in account selling/complex sales processes.
- Health systems business model and stakeholder decision-making knowledge.

- Strong compliance mindset; exceptional presentation and selling skills.
