Territory: Chicago, IL
Role: Hospital Senior Account Manager supports formulary access, protocol/order set readiness, discharge pathway support, and demand generation across targeted hospital accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute an integrated territory business plan to meet/exceed hospital sales objectives.
- Manage hospital relationships by engaging clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to understand needs/priorities.
- Provide scientific/clinical information; deliver sales presentations to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and other personnel.
- Secure formulary wins and translate market access into consistent prescribing/utilization.
- Engage pharmacy/medical/operational stakeholders in discussions supporting patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and reduced readmissions.
- Collaborate with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners to support access and therapy continuity.
- Identify and address barriers to product adoption; optimize coverage/frequency and call metrics.
- Deliver clinical brand presentations and conduct compliant educational programs/in-services/speaker programs.
- Analyze utilization trends and market dynamics to identify opportunities.
- Manage territory budget; complete administrative tasks; maintain compliance with all policies.
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS; valid driverβs license.
- 5+ years pharma/medical/biotech; 3+ years calling on hospitals/health systems.
- Hospital decision processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, antimicrobial stewardship.
- Travel up to 50%; lift/move up to 35 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Top-tier sales performance/product launch success; demand generation in hospitals.
- Anti-infective experience; account selling in complex environments.
- Knowledge of health system model and stakeholders (P&T, formulary); presentation/selling skills.
Skills: Account management; cross-functional work; data to insights; scientific literacy.
Compensation/Benefits: US base salary range $165,000β$275,000; annual bonus; eligibility for share-based long-term incentive; health care/insurance, retirement, paid holidays/vacation, and paid caregiver/parental & medical leave.
