Role: The Hospital Senior Account Manager supports and advances formulary access, protocol and order set readiness, discharge pathway support, and demand generation across targeted hospital accounts by engaging Infectious Disease physicians and hospital stakeholders to drive sales. Develop, implement, and execute an integrated territory business plan.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage hospital relationships by engaging clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.
- Provide scientific and clinical information for the disease state area and approved product.
- Deliver sales presentations and educate HCPs to support appropriate utilization.
- Optimize customer engagement and utilize/manage all resources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive aligned execution.
- Achieve/exceed sales targets; prioritize high-value customers and growth opportunities.
- Secure and translate formulary wins and market access into consistent prescribing/utilization.
- Engage pharmacy, medical, and operational stakeholders in clinical discussions (patient ID, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, readmission reduction).
- Collaborate with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners.
- Identify and address clinical/operational/process barriers to adoption.
- Plan activities to achieve call metrics; optimize coverage and frequency.
- Understand account delivery systems (physician hierarchy, key pharmacy personnel, clinical nursing).
- Analyze utilization trends and customer insights to drive performance.
- Conduct compliant educational programs (in-services, speaker programs, scientific discussions).
- Provide marketing strategy feedback; develop territory plans with Regional Sales Director.
- Manage territory budget; complete administrative tasks; maintain compliance.

Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS from an accredited institution.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 5+ years in pharmaceutical/medical/biotech.
- 3+ years calling on hospitals and health systems.
- Experience with hospital decision-making, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship.
- Travel up to 50% (overnight possible).
- Ability to lift/move up to 35 pounds.

- Top-tier sales performance; proven product launch success.
- Demand generation success in hospitals.
- Anti-infective experience.
- Account selling expertise; deep Health Systems business/model knowledge.
- Experience engaging specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
- Experience collaborating across hospital and community care; strong presentation/selling.
