The Hospital Senior Account Manager supports formulary access, protocol and order set readiness, discharge pathway support, and demand generation across targeted hospital accounts, engaging Infectious Disease physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, case management, discharge planners, and IDN decision makers (e.g., CMO, Pharmacy Directors, P&T Committee members) to drive sales.

Key Responsibilities
- Meet/exceed sales targets by developing and executing an integrated territory business plan.
- Secure and translate formulary wins/market access into consistent prescribing and utilization.
- Provide scientific/clinical disease-state and product information; deliver clinical brand presentations.
- Engage pharmacy, medical, and operational stakeholders on patient identification, treatment selection, IV-to-oral transition, discharge readiness, and readmission reduction.
- Collaborate with nurse navigators, discharge planners, case managers, and specialty pharmacy partners for access and therapy continuity.
- Identify and address barriers to product adoption; optimize call metrics and customer coverage/frequency.
- Conduct compliant educational activities (in-services, speaker programs, scientific discussions).
- Analyze utilization trends and market dynamics; provide feedback on marketing strategy and territory performance.
- Manage territory budget; complete administrative tasks; maintain compliance with corporate/industry policies.

Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS; valid driver’s license.
- 5+ years pharma/medical/biotech; 3+ years calling on hospitals/health systems.
- Knowledge of hospital decision-making, clinical pathways, formulary management, antimicrobial stewardship.
- Travel up to 50%; lift/move up to 35 lbs.

- Top-tier sales performance and product launch success; hospital demand generation.
- Anti-Infective experience.
- Account selling success; deep Health Systems model knowledge.
- Experience engaging specialists/hospitalists/pharmacy leadership; collaborating across care settings.
- Data analysis for business plans; regulatory/compliance adherence; strong presentation and business acumen.
