Role Summary

Hospital Account Manager - Houston, TX. Part of a sales team focusing on the psychiatry space responsible for the performance of an injectable therapy for schizophrenia. Located in the Houston market, the role focuses on institutional selling, including the hospital channel for long-acting injectable therapy. Must adhere to compliance and uphold company values while building relationships and planning business activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop effective business plans to meet and exceed territory-level sales goals and identify opportunities across care settings.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership, cross-functional teams, market access, and training.
  • Adhere to all compliance guidelines and operate with integrity.
  • Review data reports to identify trends and plan actions; build relationships with HCPs and office staff at all levels.
  • Provide product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in-servicing to customers.
  • Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff to promote product and provide education.
  • Coordinate with specialty pharmacies to ensure product availability and provide education as needed.
  • Stay informed on formulary developments within hospitals by working with P&T committees.
  • Collaborate with discharge coordinators on patient follow-up and transitions of care.
  • Maintain a call average focused on top target customers according to the sales plan.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience required, preferably in long-acting injectable schizophrenia space
  • Hospital setting experience with buy-and-bill, formulary placement, P&T committees, and in-services
  • Experience in psychiatric therapeutic areas strongly preferred
  • Experience with long-acting injectables for schizophrenia in hospital settings preferred
  • Experience launching psychiatric products across multiple care settings
  • Injectable and in-office administration experience within a mental health facility
  • Ability to operate within complex settings and provide customer insights

Skills

  • Ability to interact with customers in live and virtual environments; proficient with technology
  • Understanding of reimbursement coverage, pull-through strategies, and settings of business (CMHC, specialty pharmacy, private practice)
  • Understanding of the buy-and-bill model
  • Leadership and collaboration across multiple sales teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid US driver's license and acceptable driving record

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required

Additional Requirements

  • Extensive travel throughout the assigned region, including air travel and potential weekend or overnight travel
