Territory/Role
- Field-based sales position covering Phoenix Mirror territory (including Las Vegas, NV; Tucson, AZ; Albuquerque, NM; Santa Fe, NM; El Paso, TX). Ideal to reside within territory; travel varies by location.
Responsibilities
- Communicate product information meaningfully to each customer; customize discussions based on customer needs.
- Conduct informed product discussions with HCPs; know when/how to seek and provide additional information.
- For select accounts, serve as primary point of contact; meet key personnel to understand practice structure, business model, influencers, needs, and identify opportunities.
- Coordinate with customer team to develop customer strategy (interactions/relationships, solutions, potential offerings).
- Share learnings/best practices across customers; focus on better health outcomes (HCP & patient experience).
- Provide input on resource allocation; select programs/services to address customer needs.
- Maintain knowledge of practice structure/business model/influencers and share with stakeholders.
- Embrace new technologies and multi-channel capabilities to engage customers; influence beyond assigned geography/product area.
- Execute responsibilities with ethics, integrity, and compliance with applicable laws/policies/regulations.
HIV / Virology Focus
- Execute all stages of the sales process; position HIV products vs. competition for appropriate patient types using approved resources.
- Monitor market trends; proactively recommend to meet future business needs.
- Ask strategic questions to uncover healthcare needs; develop focused, customized business strategies.
- Identify segments/conditions; prioritize opportunities and manage total Virology portfolio.
- Understand HIV payer complexity and stakeholder roles for access.
- Develop and execute account plans; collaborate with extended Virology Account Team.
- Manage relationships in “no sample” environments; operate with a business-owner mindset in changing cycles.
Qualifications
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree + 2+ years sales experience, OR high school diploma + 6+ years equivalent experience (e.g., sales, marketing, military, or non-sales pharma/biotech/medical/scientific experience).
- Valid driver’s license; willing to travel within assigned territory for in-person visits and national meetings.
- Preferred: 2+ years in account management/sales with Infectious Disease customers (preference: HIV experience/launch); specialty sales/launch experience; pharma/biotech/med device sales; highly regulated/compliance experience; complex hospital systems experience; payer environment experience (incl. pharmacy stakeholders); trusted by disease-state customers; ability to build relationships in “no sampling.”
