Territory Information:
- Field-based sales position covering the Manhattan, New York territory.
- Ideal to reside in the territory or within reasonable commuting distance.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Communicate product information tailored to each customer’s needs.
- Conduct informed product discussions with HCPs; know when/how to seek and provide additional information.
- Serve as primary point of contact for select accounts; meet key personnel to understand practice structure, business model, key influencers/network, customer needs, and identify opportunities.
- Coordinate with the customer team to develop customer strategy (interactions/relationships, solutions, and offerings).
- Share learnings/best practices across customers.
- Focus on better health outcomes for HCPs and patients.
- Provide input into customer resource allocation decisions.
- Identify/select relevant programs/services from available resources.
- Maintain understanding of practice structure, business model, and influencers/network; share with stakeholders.
- Influence beyond specific geography/product area.
- Embrace new technologies and multi-channel engagement.
- Perform all activities with ethics, integrity, and compliance with laws, policies, and regulations.
HIV Specific:
- Execute each stage of the sales process.
- Position Virology products vs. competition using appropriate patient types and approved resources.
- Stay ahead of market trends; make proactive recommendations.
- Demonstrate resilience/adaptability in fast-changing environments.
- Ask strategic questions about healthcare needs; develop focused, customized business strategy.
- Identify segments/industry conditions; emphasize Specialty Pharmacy and distribution channel understanding.
- Manage the Virology portfolio via segmentation, targeting, and business analysis.
- Explain HIV payer complexities and stakeholder roles in access to the product portfolio.
- Develop and execute account plans; collaborate with Virology Account Team to deliver patient- and customer-centric solutions.
- Create/manage relationships in “no sample” environments.
- Use a “business owner” mindset during change; flex across segments/portfolios in a matrix.
- Maintain high-level compliance with company policies/procedures.
Position Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2–6 years sales experience, OR high school diploma with 6+ years equivalent experience (e.g., professional sales, marketing, military, or healthcare/scientific field not sales-related).
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- PharmD certified.
- 2+ years in large NYC hospital institutions (e.g., Mt. Sinai, NYU Langone, NY Presbyterian, Weill Cornell).
- High clinical acumen; success with operationally controlled hospital institutions.
- Specialty sales experience (preferably launch experience); pharma/biotech/medical device sales.
- Experience developing/executing customer engagement plans; relationship building.
- Experience in highly regulated environments where compliance is critical.
- Experience in complex hospital systems and payer environments (including pharmacy stakeholders).
- Demonstrated ability to build partnerships across stakeholders; “no sampling” relationship development.
- Business acumen and account management skills; leadership/planning/organization; self-motivation; ability to learn and convey complex information; ethics/integrity in compliance-focused environments.
- Current relationships with key opinion leaders preferred.
