Responsibilities:
- Communicate product information tailored to customer needs; engage in informed discussions with HCPs.
- Serve as primary point of contact within select accounts; understand practice structure, business model, key influencers, needs, and identify opportunities.
- Coordinate with customer team to develop customer strategy and solutions for select accounts/HCPs.
- Share learnings/best practices across customers; focus on better health outcomes.
- Provide input into resource allocation; select appropriate programs/services to address needs.
- Maintain understanding of practice structure/influencers/network and make info available to stakeholders.
- Influence beyond geography/product area; maximize new technologies and multi-channel engagement; uphold ethics and compliance.
HIV-specific:
- Execute all stages of the sales process; position Virology products vs. competition using approved resources.
- Anticipate market trends; use insights to develop focused, customized business strategy.
- Identify segments, including Specialty Pharmacy; manage Virology portfolio via segmentation/targeting/business analysis.
- Understand HIV payer environment and account inter-dependencies; collaborate on long-term account plans.
- Build relationships in “no sample” environments; maintain high compliance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s + 2–6 years sales OR high school diploma + 6+ years equivalent experience (sales/marketing/military/healthcare/scientific).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Preferred: PharmD; 2+ years in large NYC hospital institutions; specialty/launch experience; pharma/biotech/device sales; strong clinical acumen; experience in complex payer environments; high regulated-industry compliance.
