The Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) builds and manages strategic relationships with U.S. external experts within assigned therapeutic areas to generate timely, actionable insights that inform brand strategy. Plans and coordinates insight generation with ongoing external expert interactions, congress and executive engagements, working with commercial, medical, and regulatory partners in compliance with all requirements. Hepatology TLLs support hepatology drug launches by developing expertise in quantitative HBsAg testing to identify target patients and accelerate adoption of a functional cure paradigm for Hepatitis B.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with assigned external experts through value-driven interactions.
- Plan and execute compliant external expert engagements aligned to brand priorities (live and virtual) outside advisory and congress events.
- Segment and manage a thought leader network to optimize engagement and insight generation.
- Compliantly elicit, document, and synthesize clinical, competitive, and strategic insights from external experts and existing qualitative/quantitative data.
- Share insights with marketing senior leadership to inform brand strategy and tactics; seek compliant feedback on initiatives/materials.
- Plan and execute consulting/advisory boards; coordinate external expert executive interactions with commercial leadership.
- Enable peer-to-peer education (speaker recommendations, training/operations support, relationship management).
- Lead sponsorship at Tier 1 congresses and serve as onsite host for product theater speakers.
- Partner cross-functionally (medical, legal, compliance, regulatory, marketing); manage multiple priorities and agency/vendor execution; identify and mitigate strategic engagement risks.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 10+ years’ experience in field sales, product marketing, or medical/clinical roles in pharma/biotech.
- Specialty Hepatology/GI experience required.
- Experience presenting to executive audiences and influencing strategic decisions.
- Experience leveraging insights to guide strategy and refine approach to evolving data/market dynamics.
- Valid driver’s license; travel 60–80% (nights/weekends).

Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- Strong account management and cross-functional leadership.
- Marketing and/or sales management background.
- Advanced project management/organizational skills.
- Proven regulatory/compliance adherence with proactive risk identification and mitigation.
