Job Summary:
The Account Manager owns the B2B customer relationship in large/complex healthcare delivery networks (e.g., HSs, State CDC Awardees, major health departments, FQHCs). Primary liaison to largest customers; engage C/D level clinical & non-clinical stakeholders to deliver a customized value proposition. Meet/exceed sales objectives via an integrated territory business plan. Provide scientific/clinical information and deliver clinically brand presentations to HCPs/APPs/medical staff using the customer engagement selling model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build partnerships with IDNs, academic centers, and decision-makers (CMOs, Pharmacy Directors, ID Specialists, P&T Committee members)
- Achieve/exceed sales targets through integrated plans for key accounts
- Identify/engage key influencers; meet customer interaction expectations
- Plan/organize activities to optimize call metrics, coverage, and frequency
- Deliver clinical brand presentations and drive appropriate product utilization
- Understand each customer’s healthcare delivery system and stakeholder roles
- Maintain product/competitor knowledge and monitor market trends
- Analyze trends to create long/short-term goals and launch plans
- Provide marketing/sales effectiveness feedback; develop territory plans with RSD/brand team
- Manage territory budget; complete administrative tasks; maintain compliance
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Valid driver’s license
- Travel: up to 50%
- Account Manager 6: 5+ years biotech/pharma experience
- Account Manager 7: 3+ years biotech/pharma experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Product launch sales success; hepatology experience
- Track record meeting sales targets; account selling expertise
- Health Systems business model/stakeholder knowledge; C/D calling experience (IDNs)
- Lateral leadership in matrix; independent/team effectiveness
- Data/trend analysis for business plans; adaptability; strong presentation/selling/business acumen
Requirements:
- Travel up to 50% (overnights possible); lift/move up to 35 lbs.
Compensation & Benefits (US):
- Base salary range: $162,750–$271,250; includes annual bonus and eligibility for long-term incentive
