The Thought Leader Liaison (TLL), Hematology builds and manages strategic relationships with external U.S. experts across academic and community oncology to ensure commercial strategies reflect where patients receive care.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional strategic external expert engagement plans to build long-term partnerships and generate commercial insights, especially in the community setting.
- Plan and execute external expert engagements aligned to brand priorities and expert needs outside of advisory and congress events; manage consistent live/virtual execution.
- Build a regional brand advocacy segment and manage a thought leader network (network mapping).
Insight Generation & Strategic Impact
- Gather and synthesize regional insights from external experts (1:1, congress, publications) and provide them to the brand team.
- Share insights with commercial leadership to shape brand strategy, resource allocation, customer engagement, and launch planning.
- Identify emerging treatment paradigm shifts, competitive dynamics, biomarker evolution, and unmet needs impacting commercial strategy.
- Seek compliant expert feedback on initiatives and materials.
Advisory, Peer to Peer & Congress Engagements
- Execute and synthesize advisory boards and consultancies to inform commercial decision making.
- Coordinate external expert executive interactions with commercial leadership.
- Shape peer-to-peer education content (speaker identification, training/operations support, relationship management).
- Participate in local/regional/national congresses and host product theater speakers onsite.
Cross-Functional & Operational Excellence
- Partner with medical, legal, compliance, regulatory, and marketing to ensure engagements align with GSK policies and PHARMA guidelines.
- Manage multiple priorities; oversee agency/vendor partners for timely, high-quality execution; identify and mitigate strategic engagement risks.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; 10+ years pharma/biotech experience in field sales, product marketing, or medical/clinical roles.
- Oncology experience required.
- Experience presenting to executive audiences and influencing strategic decisions.
- Leverage insights to guide strategy amid evolving data/market dynamics.
- Valid driver’s license; travel 60–80% (nights/weekends).
- Communicate effectively to HCPs and executives.
- Technology/software knowledge and ability to learn new AI tools.
