Roles and Responsibilities
- Build and maintain proficiency in relevant disease states, patient/clinic experience, market landscape, and product.
- Drive company revenue by achieving sales/marketing objectives.
- Serve as primary commercial interface with key accounts; accountable for overall customer experience.
- Develop and maintain deep understanding and relationships with key accounts and stakeholders (e.g., physicians, nurses, office staff, management).
- Establish and execute business plans for key accounts aligned to franchise strategy/resources; lead key account strategy discussions with leadership.
- Assess treatment patterns and referral networks affiliated with key accounts.
- Collaborate compliantly with patient services, field access/reimbursement support, medical affairs, and operations to achieve account objectives.
- Use approved resources effectively; proactively communicate with Hematology Sales Director.
- Share field insights with home-office team; participate in internal workshops and insight readouts.
- Operate with high professional integrity within established guidelines and policies.
Experience/Qualifications
- BA/BS degree.
- 4+ years of biotech/pharma sales and account management experience.
- Hematology/Oncology and/or rare disease experience preferred (other specialty sales experience considered).
Skills/Knowledge
- Proven sales success; ability to create/execute customer/account plans.
- Strong relationships/credibility; learning agility; comfort navigating ambiguity in ultra-rare disease.
- Collaboration with key stakeholders via emotional intelligence.
- Strong communication and active listening; integrity with pharma rules/regulations.
- Must live in territory; travel up to 75% (overnights); comply with credentialing requirements.
