Summary
- The Hematology (PNH) Account Manager is a field sales role representing Biogen to key HCPs and accounts in the assigned geography, building trust and developing effective territory and key account plans.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Build and maintain proficiency in relevant disease states, patient/clinic experience, market landscape, and product.
- Drive revenue by achieving all sales/marketing objectives.
- Serve as primary commercial interface with key accounts and accountable for customer experience.
- Develop and maintain deep relationships with key stakeholders (physicians, nurses, office staff, management, etc.).
- Establish and execute business plans aligned to franchise strategy and resources; lead account strategy discussions with leadership.
- Assess treatment patterns and referral networks affiliated with key accounts.
- Collaborate compliantly with patient services, field access (reimbursement support), medical affairs, and operations to achieve account objectives.
- Use approved resources effectively; communicate routinely with the Hematology Sales Director.
- Share field insights with home-office; participate in internal workshops and insight readouts.
- Operate with high professional integrity within guidelines and policies.
Experience/Qualifications
- BA/BS degree.
- 4+ years biotech/pharma sales and account management.
- Hematology/Oncology and/or rare disease experience preferred.
Skills/Abilities
- Proven sales success; ability to create/executecast customer/account plans.
- Strong relationship-building, learning agility, communication, integrity.
- Must live in territory; travel up to 75% (including overnights).
- Willing/able to comply with credentialing requirements.
