Field Medical Core Responsibilities
- Plan and execute Medical strategy and engagement for assigned customers within a territory, coordinating with Pfizer colleagues.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant TA/disease states and Pfizer medicines; provide therapeutic area/product information to internal/external stakeholders.
- Serve as a conduit for Medical Information and customer insights; share requested information to HCPs per guidance and share customer viewpoints with Pfizer.
- Understand Pfizer Medical Affairs priorities to develop Medical content strategy and execute aligned Field Medical tactics.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with HQ Medical colleagues, Medical Information, and other Field Medical colleagues.
- Deliver expertise across channels (live/virtual presentations, written, telephone/virtual conversations).
- Optimize patient centricity using Health Literacy and cultural awareness principles.

Field Medical Role Responsibilities
- Deliver approved medical content about Pfizer medicines and relevant topics in designated therapeutic area.
- Identify and pursue medical engagement from priority customer segments.
- Respond to direct unsolicited medical requests from HCPs with truthful, accurate, scientifically supported information per Pfizer policies.
- Field inbound HCP queries via established triage process.
- Partner with Global Medical Affairs, Oncology R&D, and GPD to identify sites for Pfizer-sponsored clinical trials, including under-represented patient populations.
- Provide Medical support throughout Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR).
- Cultivate research/TA expertise (e.g., congress data, disease state literature).
- Provide asset leadership.
- Understand study design/methodology/data interpretation and communicate concepts to customers.
- Lead territory execution; communicate with local Patient Advocacy Groups in collaboration with Corporate Affairs and HQ Medical Affairs.
- Deliver insights on patient organization structure/capabilities/needs.
- Serve on medical/TA/asset cross-functional committees; represent Pfizer Medical Affairs with associations/societies.
- Provide mentorship (onboarding partner, ad board, study lead mentor) and participate in special projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a health science (required).
- Experience: PharmD/PhD (5+ years), MBA/MSc (7+ years), or BA/BSc (8+ years).
- Subject matter expert recognized internally and externally.
- Ability to manage many remote projects; prioritize and demonstrate excellent judgment.
- Matrixed, multi-disciplinary teamwork and strong Pfizer/customer relationships aligned with Medical objectives.
- Lead change in an evolving healthcare environment; change agility.
- Problem-solve/network enterprise-wide as appropriate.
- Rapidly adopt digital technology and record medical interactions.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Operate a Pfizer company car and travel 60–80% (including HCP/customer meetings).

Preferred Qualifications
- PharmD/PhD (or equivalent terminal doctoral degree).
- Hematology expertise/clinical experience.
- Familiarity with Pfizer/customer SOPs/rules/regulations.
- Previous Field Medical experience; leadership/teamwork; self-starter/accountability and urgency; conflict management; develop/coach others.

Benefits/Compensation
- Annual base salary range: $176,600–$294,300. Eligible for Global Performance Plan bonus (20% target) and share-based long-term incentives; comprehensive benefits (401(k) match, retirement contributions, paid time off, caregiver/parental and medical leave, medical/prescription/dental/vision).
