Field Medical Director – Oncology (Hematology and pipeline)

Responsibilities
- Plan and execute compliant medical strategy and customer engagement in an assigned territory.
- Maintain expert knowledge of therapeutic areas/disease states and Pfizer medicines; provide TA/product information to internal/external stakeholders.
- Serve as a conduit for Medical Information/customer insights; respond to HCP unsolicited requests per Pfizer guidance.
- Contribute to medical content strategy and execute aligned field tactics; coordinate with HQ/Medical Information/other field medical colleagues.
- Deliver approved medical content via live/virtual and written/phone communications; optimize patient centricity (health literacy, cultural awareness).
- Identify priority customer segments for medical engagement; field inbound HCP queries via triage.
- Partner with Global Medical Affairs/R&D/GPD on clinical trial site identification (including under-represented populations); support Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR).
- Provide asset leadership, study design/data interpretation expertise, patient advocacy group communications, committee participation, and professional society representation.
- Mentorship (onboarding partner, advisory board & study lead mentor) and special projects.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a health science required.
- Relevant experience: PharmD/PhD (5+ yrs) or MBA/MSc (7+ yrs) or BA/BSc (8+ yrs).

Skills/Preferred
- Hematology clinical expertise highly preferred; terminal doctoral degree preferred.
- Field Medical experience; knowledge of SOPs/rules; strong leadership, interpersonal, conflict handling; digital adoption; excellent oral/written communication.
- Travel 60–80% (company car/air travel required); occasional weekend work; remote-field based.

Benefits/Compensation (if applicable)
- Annual base salary: $176,600–$294,300; Global Performance Plan bonus target 20%; eligibility for long-term incentive and comprehensive benefits (401(k), vacation/leave, medical/dental/vision).
