Field Medical Core Responsibilities
- Plan and execute Medical strategy and engagement for assigned customers in a territory; coordinate with colleagues to meet Medical objectives.
- Maintain knowledge of therapeutic areas/disease states and Pfizer medicines; provide TA/product info to internal/external stakeholders.
- Serve as a conduit for Medical Information and customer insights; respond to HCP requests as allowed and share customer viewpoints.
- Contribute to Medical content strategy and execute aligned tactics.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively across HQ Medical, Medical Information, and Field Medical teams.
- Deliver communications via live/virtual presentations, written, and telephone/virtual conversations; optimize patient centricity (health literacy, cultural awareness).
Field Medical Role Responsibilities
- Deliver approved medical content on Pfizer medicines and relevant TA topics.
- Identify/seek medical engagement from priority customer segments.
- Provide truthful, accurate, scientifically supported info for unsolicited HCP medical requests per Pfizer policies.
- Field inbound HCP queries through established triage.
- Partner on site identification for Pfizer-sponsored clinical trials (including under-represented populations) and support ISR.
- Maintain expertise using current congress data and literature; provide asset leadership.
- Understand and communicate study design/methodology/data interpretation.
- Lead territory activities; engage Patient Advocacy Groups with Corporate Affairs and HQ Medical Affairs.
- Participate in cross-functional committees; represent Medical Affairs at professional associations; mentorship and special projects.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in health science.
- Relevant experience: PharmD/PhD (5+ yrs), MBA/MSc (7+ yrs), or BA/BSc (8+ yrs).
- Subject matter expert; strong remote project management, prioritization, judgment, and continuous improvement.
- Matrix collaboration; manage change; change agility; problem-solving.
- Use digital tools; excellent oral/written communication; travel 60β80% and operate company vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Terminal doctoral degree (e.g., PharmD/PhD); hematology expertise.
- Familiarity with SOPs/regulations for Pfizer/customer interactions; previous Field Medical experience.
Benefits/Compensation (as stated)
- Base salary: $176,600β$294,300; bonus target 20%; eligible long-term incentive; 401(k) match and additional retirement contribution; paid time off, caregiver/parental/medical leave, and health benefits.
