Role Summary

Health Systems Manager/Senior Manager - North Central. Build and nurture relationships with leading healthcare institutions within your region to identify collaborative opportunities that improve access to innovative treatments and expand Acadia’s impact in the healthcare landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Identify business opportunities, develop complex approaches to account engagement, and execute against ACADIA’s strategic imperatives.
  • Assess and prioritize key health system opportunities based on market potential, payer influence, and strategic fit.
  • Identify, develop and advance relationships with influential operational leaders, Specialty Pharmacies and Key Medical Experts.
  • Create and manage business plans for key IDN and Health System accounts that drive patient access, adherence, and meaningful patient outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior-level executives within targeted systems to align shared goals and outcomes.
  • Use market data, system analytics, and competitive insights to inform strategic planning and execution.
  • Educate on potential EHR interventions within Centers of Excellence and IDNs to address gaps in care.
  • Implement medication transitions of care within Health Systems, including system-wide discharge order sets.
  • Understand P&T processes for assigned IDNs and key institutions to assist in formulary access for EHR interventions or transitions of care.
  • Conduct IDN SPP QBRs to advance projects, overcome access barriers, and identify future opportunities.
  • Educate and engage Fellows & Residents to align on project development within Center of Excellence, IDN or Health System.
  • Meet Brand and Access Objectives that drive market share growth while ensuring compliance with targeted accounts.
  • Record account information and competitive intelligence using account management resources and tools.
  • Create access and pull-through opportunities for the field sales organization within Centers of Excellence to increase compliance, market share and profits.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and US healthcare laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • Health Systems Manager: minimum 8 years in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, account management, or hospital sales.
  • Senior Health Systems Manager: minimum 12 years in pharmaceuticals or life sciences, with at least 5 years in Institutional, IDN/complex health system management or regional sales leadership; demonstrated experience with IDNs, Centers of Excellence, and large Health Systems.
  • Experience in CNS and Specialty Pharmacy; experience with institutional and/or IDN/complex systems preferred.
  • Ability to travel 50-75%.

Skills

  • Proven ability to build long-term partnerships with healthcare executives and decision-makers; proficient with Acadia’s tools and resources.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders across complex healthcare systems; strong analytical and business acumen.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; influencing and negotiating skills with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience presenting technical information clearly; proficient with Microsoft Suite, Smartsheet, CRM; data analysis to inform strategy.
  • Ability to operate independently; thrives in a fast-paced environment; leadership and executive presence.
  • Professionalism and integrity; ability to work in a highly regulated environment.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Sciences, or related field (required).

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to travel 50-75% as part of the role.
