What You Will Do
- Lead development and implementation of reimbursement strategies for federal (US) payer issues across multiple therapeutic areas and the biosimilars portfolio.
- Cross-functionally identify and resolve barriers to entry for pipeline therapies and provide reimbursement advice for inline products.
- Develop mitigation strategies in response to proposals that could negatively affect patient access.
- Review/analyze complex health policy proposals, including regulatory proposals and legislative text; communicate impacts to internal audiences (government affairs, commercial, regulatory, clinical, senior executives).
- Collaborate with government affairs to align strategy, talking points, and messaging with constituents.
- Engage with major trade associations on corporate policy priorities, including federal drug pricing policy.
- Research and integrate clinical, market, and payer data to inform reimbursement objectives.
- Provide regular written and oral updates to senior executives and key partners.

What We Expect Of You
Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate + 6 years OR Masterโ€™s + 10 years OR Bachelorโ€™s + 12 years in health policy/reimbursement.
- 6 years managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams/projects/programs/resources.

Preferred Qualifications:
- CBO-style modeling; cost estimates/analyses.
- Relationships with HHS, CMS, and CBO.
- Deep understanding of federal/commercial payer environment (coverage, coding, reimbursement) and policy-setting authorities/processes.
- Experience with Medicare/Medicaid/national health programs; US biosimilars marketplace.
- Review clinical literature to assess payer implications; develop Medicare submissions.
- Strong communication; quantitative skills translating complex data into succinct materials.
- Product commercialization; Amgen therapeutic-area experience.
- Multi-stakeholder group experience; people management preferred.
