Role Summary
Head of Procurement External Manufacturing Specialty Care and Pasteur. Location: Morristown, NJ or Cambridge, MA.
Responsibilities
- Drive global EM&S Growth Strategy implementation for Large Molecules in collaboration with Business and Procurement teams
- Act as strategic partner for R&D centers in developing and executing Clinical CMO strategy worldwide
- Lead Make vs. Buy decisions aligned with EM&S global strategy
- Optimize global CMO/CDMO partnerships to maximize value creation and competitive advantage
- Develop and execute global category strategies based on comprehensive market intelligence
- Lead complex, high-value global sourcing initiatives and negotiations
- Work closely with Business on managing global supplier relationship programs
- Drive procurement excellence across Total Cost of Ownership, Risk Management, Innovation, CSR, and Sustainability
- Establish and manage competitive CMO & CDMO panel aligned with EM&S strategy
- Build and lead a global high-performing team with strong business acumen
- Champion transformation initiatives across the procurement organization
- Foster innovation and continuous improvement within EM&S framework
- Deliver world-class savings objectives aligned with EM&S targets
- Partner with Finance to develop robust tracking mechanisms for external spend
- Contribute to global budget planning and long-range strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- Pharmaceutical Engineering, or related field required, Master's degree in Business Administration preferred
- Additional procurement certification preferred
- 15+ years of experience in senior management roles
- Proven track record in global pharmaceutical/biotech procurement
- Demonstrated success in global positions
- Strong background in External Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management
