Job Description
- Manages Associate Medical Directors, Medical Directors, Senior Medical Directors, and Executive Medical Directors.
- Leads Product Safety Teams (PST) as PST Lead and ensures product safety through the product lifecycle (surveillance, signal detection, validation, assessment).
- Interprets pharmacovigilance regulations supporting all patient safety activities.

Responsibilities
- Apply pharmacology, chemistry, and non-clinical toxicology to conduct safety surveillance.
- Ensure safety surveillance for pharmaceutical/biological/drug–device combined products.
- Set strategy for key pharmacovigilance documents (medical safety assessments, regulatory responses, risk management plans).
- Apply regulatory guidance for safety surveillance and authorship of PV documents.
- Analyze and interpret aggregate safety data and communicate to cross-functional teams.
- Write/review/provide input on technical documents; oversee strategy for periodic reports (PSURs, PADERs).
- Oversee safety surveillance and pharmacovigilance for clinical trials and post-marketing.
- Implement risk management strategies for assigned products.
- Proactively coach and mentor team and colleagues.
- Manage performance and talent development of other medical directors.
- Coordinate and oversee product-level safety activities across indications/related products; assess safety strategy across programs and oversee approval-related activities.

Qualifications
- MD/DO with 2+ years of residency and patient management experience; Master Public Health preferred (not required).
- 8–10 years of pharmacovigilance and/or clinical development experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Ability to analyze clinical/epidemiological data and present recommendations internally and externally.
- Experience writing/reviewing technical documents; lead cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English (written and oral).
- Ability to evaluate and make independent decisions in uncertainty; multitask.
