Corporate Functions
How you will contribute:
- Provide and lead high-quality legal support related to U.S. government healthcare program policy and reimbursement.
- Provide legal support to relevant Takeda functions, including U.S. Public Affairs.
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate the external governmental healthcare environment (Medicare, Medicaid, 340B, and other federal and state programs) and guide Takedaβs response to developments; maintain an active external legal network.
- Set legal strategy for relevant functions; represent Takeda in trade association legal work groups and committees on healthcare matters.
- Drive cross-functional strategy development and ensure consistency with legal strategy.
- Conduct sophisticated legal analysis on complex, high-risk issues for the company and BU/functions.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate required; bar membership in at least one jurisdiction.
- Qualified/admitted lawyer; high academic achievement in the study of law.
- Professional training in corporate/commercial law or pharmaceutical/compliance law (at a highly regarded law firm).
- 10+ yearsβ experience working in a law firm and as in-house counsel in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry; in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and U.S. legal affairs.
- Deep understanding of healthcare policy and government reimbursement legal frameworks (federal and state).
- Profound knowledge of U.S. federal and state drug pricing and reimbursement regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial, compliance, and regulatory matters for branded pharmaceutical launch, marketing, access, pricing, and reimbursement; ability to support global functions.
- Experience identifying and addressing strategic, compliance, and enforcement risks.
- Ability to prioritize within area of expertise.
Compensation and Benefits (as stated):
- U.S. base salary range: $229,600.00β$360,800.00; eligible for medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, disability and life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off (including sick time and vacation), and incentives (as applicable).
