Leadership in Medical Review
- Supervise Case Management Medical Review personnel in the therapeutic area (including physicians and scientists) across the global team.
- Recruit, develop, and retain staff; facilitate training/mentorship and provide feedback/coaching and recognition.
- Oversee medical evaluation of safety of Individual Case Safety Reports for assigned compounds across their life cycle.
- Develop/maintain/share technical expertise and medical knowledge.
- Lead global medical leadership driving scientific and process improvements; lead/participate in safety process-improvement/innovation.
- Participate in development/implementation of the functional strategic plan; manage resources to meet business objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align goals/deliverables; partner with global GPS partners for forecasting, planning, and utilization.
Enterprise Leadership
- Lead actions with GPS teams to ensure appropriate interaction, communication, and high-quality safety evaluation.
- Serve as the Case Management Medical Review representative to internal/external customers per policies.
- Build relationships with key customers; represent and champion the role of safety.
- Collaborate with Affiliates, Business Units, and Clinical Development; manage/clarify safety issues.
- Understand QP responsibilities and support fulfillment when required.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or DO; board eligible/certified in appropriate specialty/subspecialty OR equivalent post-medical school clinical training for the hiring country.
- US-trained physicians: board eligibility/certification required. Foreign medical graduates: may be hired for US roles at discretion of Chief Medical Officer; non-US trained: education/training substantially equivalent to LCME-accredited requirements.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
- 5+ years clinical development or pharmacovigilance; knowledge of drug development.
- Fluent English; strong written/verbal communication; strong clinical/diagnostic skills.
- Interpersonal, organizational, negotiation skills; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced matrix; prioritize and shift rapidly; influence others; teamwork.
- Willing to travel domestically/internationally as needed.
Benefits/Compensation (as stated)
- Anticipated wage: $225,000–$330,000; eligible for company bonus; comprehensive benefits including 401(k), pension, vacation, medical/dental/vision/prescription coverage, flexible benefits, life insurance, time-off/leave, and well-being benefits.
